Wild Sheep Society of British Columbia
The Wild Sheep Society of BC is a rapidly growing, province wide organization of over 500 members. They are dedicated to increasing the number of wild sheep on our mountains and in improving their habitat. Their membership provides both funding and manpower for the various projects that they do. Sheep transplants will always be the cornerstone of their efforts. They are a very effective way to move sheep onto once traditional habitat areas.
"The mission of the Wild Sheep Society is to promote and enhance wild sheep and wild sheep habitat throughout British Columbia."

Boone & Crockett
The need for a universally accepted code of conduct for sportsmen to follow was discussed at the very first meeting of the Boone and Crockett Club in 1887. The name given to such a code was, “Fair Chase.” Theodore Roosevelt and other founding members of the Club knew that if the newly found concept of conservation were to succeed sportsmen would need to lead this charge. By conducting themselves with self-imposed restraint in not taking unfair advantage over game species, recreational sportsmen distanced themselves from market hunters and the negative public attitude of market hunting.
For generations sportsmen have honored this code and help to bring back many species to robust populations. Today, Fair Chase remains the best hope for the continued public acceptance of recreational hunting as a conservation and game management tool.
The Boone and Crockett Club is proud to support GOABC, its members, and their tradition of upholding the tenets of Fair Chase.
