Boone & Crockett
The need for a universally accepted code of conduct for sportsmen to follow was discussed at the very first meeting of the Boone and Crockett Club in 1887. The name given to such a code was, “Fair Chase.” Theodore Roosevelt and other founding members of the Club knew that if the newly found concept of conservation were to succeed sportsmen would need to lead this charge.
